Capital Reef National Park

Capital Reef is one of the newest national parks - about 5 years old. It has a great 10 mile scenic drive with beautiful mountains. This was not on our agenda, but we heard great things about it so we added it to our trip.

It was named by former sailors which were reminded of a reef and by others who thought the various domes looked like state capital buildings.
