Mt Rainier National Park

We entered Washington State, our 13th state since leaving Connecticut 10 days ago. Our destination was Mt. Rainier National Park. We set up camp at the Cougar Rock Campground inside the park. Our site was nice a secluded, but did not have any services (like electricity, water or showers).

The first day we toured the park, it was like walking around in a fog bank. We never saw the actual mountain or any of the views because of a mist the permeated everything around us. We did a short hike around an old riverbed that had Michelle drooling over the rocks. Up at the visitor center, snow still covered the valley floor, so Keegan broke out his snowboard, set up a jump, and had a go if it.

We ended the day having dinner around the campfire and praying for better weather the next day.
