Northern Cascades National Park

Our last stop before we enter Canada is another idyllic national park and then leave the country. We camped just outside the park the night before. We had hot showers and a great meal before turning in.

The park itself was less than we expected. It is mostly wilderness and inaccessible unless you are spending several days hiking. We had planned on driving through the park on the way to Canada, but chose to head back to I5 instead.

We did stop to watch the movie “The Last Airbender” based on a TV show the kids use to watch. It also did not live up to our expectations – good action, but week plot and acting.

We are now 4,062 miles into the trip and our next stop is Canada. The good news is that our passports showed up in the last mail drop we received so we can get back into the country!
